Skip Bin Hire Policies
(Same day delivery & heavy recyclables)
These policies keep things simple and fair.
They explain how skip bin hire same-day delivery works, what’s allowed for heavy recyclable materials like concrete and soil, hire periods, permits, safe access, and what can’t go in a bin.

Hire Period & Extensions

Standard skip bin hire periods run from 2 hours up to 7 days.

Council Permits (On-Street Placements)

On-street placements need a council permit.

We arrange the permit; typical council fees $100–$200, and timeframes vary by council.

On-street placements are not available for same-day delivery.
Access, Placement & Dry-Run Fee

Standard placements of skip bins are on private property (driveways, front lawns, factory car parks).

Keep access clear (driveway width about 2.4 m; avoid low branches/overhead lines; safe, level ground).

If we can’t access or place safely when we arrive, a dry-run/call-out fee of $110 inc. GST applies.
What Can’t Go in the Bin (and Surcharges)

Not accepted: asbestos, chemicals, liquids, oils/paint tins with liquid, gas bottles, batteries, medical waste or other hazardous waste.

Tyres & mattresses: accepted only if pre-paid (arrange at booking).

Do not overload — nothing above the bin’s top edge.

Keep heavy materials clean (no plastic, timber, plaster or green waste mixed through).

All loads go to licensed transfer stations; recycling is handled there under their rules.
Same-Day Delivery Policy

We have some clear guideline for the process for accessing Eastern Skip Hire's same day skip bin delivery service.

Book your same-day skip bin delivery service before 12 pm Monday to Friday.

Your skip bin same day delivery service will arrive within 1–3 hours of booking, at no extra cost.

Same-day delivery service is only accessible by calling Wendy direct on 0417 514 763 to book your express skip bin delivery service.

Online bookings are for next day delivery, or for a date you request.
​​

Same-day placements are for private or commercial property only. On-street placements need a council permit and are not available for same day delivery.

All same day delivery bookings are subject to skip bins in stock and the current workload on the day.

We confirm your skip bins delivery timeframe when booking your same day delivery service.
Heavy Recyclables Policy (concrete, soil, bricks, pavers, dirt)

2 m³ & 3 m³ bins may be 100% heavy recyclables within legal road/axle limits.

4 m³ & 6 m³ are not offered as dedicated heavy-recyclable loads.
​​

For Builders’ General Waste (any size), up to 10% by volume of heavy recyclables is allowed.

Example: a 6 m³ skip may include up to 0.6 m³ of concrete/bricks/soil.

Keep heavy materials free of contaminants - No plastic, wood, grass, cardboard, packaging materials, steel, pallets, plastic pipes, etc.
