What are Domestic General Waste Materials?
Domestic General Waste is virtually anything which is easily picked up to load into the skip bin or mini skips easily by one person, including:
- Green Waste for your garden is allowed, plus:
- Glass: of any form in small quantities, glasses, vases, mixing bowls, ornaments, etc.
- Kitchenware: mixers, blenders, plates, cutlery, bowls, cooking utensils, etc.
- Furniture: chairs, tables, couches, stools, cabinets, cupboards, bed frames, etc.
- Toys: games, swing sets, rocking horses, cubby houses, etc.
- Tools: car parts, shed fixtures, hand tools, electric tools, tool chests, etc.
- Bikes: scooters, carts, e-bikes, e-scooters, motorcycles, mini bikes, quad bikes, etc.
- Curtains: clothes, blankets, doonas, table cloths, rugs, etc.
- Dry Carpet: (small amount of dry), mats, rugs, lino, flooring, etc.
- Books: magazines, encyclopaedias, comics, records, cassettes, etc.
- Plastics: of any type, coreflute, plant pots, bags, bowls, plates, picnic sets, etc.
- Cardboard: paper, books, magazines, office paperwork, etc.

- Full Loads Of: hardwood, carpet, particularly wet carpet, and books need to be ordered as builders' waste due to the excessive weight when loaded in large quantities.
Note: Please don't overload your skip bin. It is both dangerous and illegal for us to transport overloaded skip bins. We face heavy fines and loss of points if caught.

No Asbestos or fibreboard. Quick identification - there are no visible layers within the board's thickness; you can see small fibres. If you cannot see multiple layers when you break the material, it is likely to be asbestos. Modern cement sheeting has multiple layers, with paper or cardboard dividers between layers, which are easily visible. We do not accept the board or parts of boards if we cannot visibly see layers.
